Oorja Munot, ETE's Founder was invited to present in a remote school in India to launch ETE's first international program. ETE is currently working with two schools located in Pathardi, Maharashrtra to provide them with tutors, resources, lesson plans, and more. With partnerships in remote five schools around Maharashtra, India, ETE’s program extends to sponsoring more than 500 students by delivering resources such as books, stationary or backpacks. These seemingly simple resources ensure students can immerse themselves in learning without the burden of unmet needs.
One such student is Ganesh Devkar (9th grade student), who Oorja Munot, Founder and President spoke to on her visit to the boarding school. Along with 20 kids who attend a government boarding school in Takali Manur, Ganesh had a seemingly simple yet life-changing request: four notebooks, a backpack, and a pair of shoes. Ganesh explained that these seemingly ordinary items held extraordinary significance for him, as he wouldn't have to worry about securing these resources and could instead focus on his studies. Ganesh’s parents find themselves unable to provide him with these basic items, and so Ganesh was extremely grateful that ETE would be able to support him now, and in his future education.
